Local corporations and foundations
The time to make contact and build relationships with local funders is now, not just when their deadlines are looming. Call them and ask for a meeting to share with them your mission, programs and future goals. Ask about their interests. Determine their guidelines and keep in touch. The key is finding the right fit with the right organization. Put them on your mailing list for newsletters and annual reports. Invite them to special events. When you have a program in mind, call them back to discuss your plans and get their feedback before submitting an application. Here are a few people you should know.

American Association of Grant Professionals
AAGP is beginning its third year in Central Ohio with a new slate of officers and an exciting schedule for 2007. This is not an ADAMH system effort, but affords those working in the grant profession an opportunity to learn and network with others. If you are interested in being part of this group, contact Scott Williams, Vice President, Membership at Scott_williams@ameritech.net and he will include you on the mailing list.
