You may have seen this around before, but it’s a good reminder of the need to put a "spark" in your proposal.
The 12-12-12 Rule: Imagine that a reviewer is about to sit down to work on reading proposals. She's already put in a 12-hour workday. It's now 12 midnight. Your proposal is the 12th one in the stack sitting before her. Ask yourself this question, "What does your proposal need to have, do, say and look like in order not only to keep this reader awake, but to engage her interest, enthusiasm and excitement — to make it stand out from the rest?"

American Association of Grant Professionals
A group of grant professionals in the Columbus area have organized and chartered a local chapter of the AAGP. This is not an ADAMH system effort, but includes some individuals who work in our system. If you are interested in being part of this group, contact Mary Heise, Vice President/Membership at mheise@bbbscentralohio.org and she will include you on the mailing list. Check out AAGP at http://www.grantprofessionals.org/.
