Philanthropy News Digest
Despite continued scrutiny of foundations and nonprofits by the media and government regulators, 2004 was a year of recovery for the philanthropic sector, as organizations saw their endowments and funding streams rebound and the debate over the war in Iraq crowded out discussion of almost everything else. As the year comes to a close, the editors of Philanthropy News Digest look back at some of the important philanthropic stories and personalities of 2004. http://fdncenter.org/pnd/specialissues/item.jhtml?id=91100001
American Association of Grant Professionals
A group of grant professionals in the Columbus area are beginning to organize a local chapter of the AAGP. This is not an ADAMH system effort, but includes some individuals who work in our system. If you are interested in being part of this group, let me know, and I will include you on the mailing list. Check out AAGP at http://www.grantprofessionals.org.
ADAMH System Grants Network
The ADAMH System Grants Network has been meeting bi-monthly to address issues of interest to those seeking grant funding for ADAMH system agencies. Anyone in your organization with such responsibilities is welcome to join us. Agencies hosting our meetings have shared information on their programs and offered tours of their facilities. These meetings have provided networking opportunities and opened dialogue among our agencies.
Please share your ideas for future presentation/discussion topics and meeting locations with Elaine Newman at 222-3726 or enewman@adamh.co.franklin.oh.us.
