The TBI Network at Ohio State University provides specialized outpatient substance abuse treatment for adults who have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The primary method of intervention is service coordination and advocacy to meet the multiple needs of clients. In addition, the TBI Network provides screening, assessment, treatment planning, educational and support groups, and individual substance abuse counseling. To facilitate optimal outcomes for clients requiring the resources of multiple social service agencies, TBI Network case managers seek to development "ad hoc" community treatment teams to bring together providers in a coordinated treatment approach.
