Mental health information and referral, community education and advocacy services. Publish and distribute Directory of Mental Health and Recovery Services. Ombudsman services for entire ADAMH system providing consumers and family members assistance in accessing needed services and dealing with complaints regarding mental health/alcohol and drug care. Video library recently combined with Prevention Council. Families in Touch support groups for families and friends of persons with mental illness: Schizophrenics Anonymous support groups and Depression Support Group. Assorted literature on mental health and mental illness available by phone or at health fairs and other events. Prevention and wellness programs including ParenTalk informational series or brochures for first-time parents; stress management; and national depression and anxiety disorders education programs. Continuing education training for mental health professionals and educational programs for the general community. Administers ADAMH scholarships for consumers and their family members. Media outreach.
