Provides support to people facing employment barriers, especially those with serious mental illness, to choose, get, and keep meaningful work within the community. Also assists people transitioning from welfare to work to become self-sufficient. Services are community based, and include rehabilitation readiness, career counseling and vocational assessment, job training, job placement, supported employment, job coaching and follow-along support, and benefits planning and consultation. COVA also provides linkage to the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission's Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation and access to COVA's Resource Center.
Offerings for Adults:
- A Resource Center open to the public with over 14 computers for job research/training, as well as use of COVA's personal "voice mail" systems for prospective employers, e-mail, copiers, shredders and fax machines.
- Experienced rehabilitation professionals provide customized programs for each individuals -- 93% Client Satisfaction Rate with COVA staff
