Community for New Direction provides preventive services for primarily African American youth ages 8-17 (special emphasis on the black male). Services include tutoring, crisis intervention, emergency assistance, prenatal/well baby clinic, recreation/team sports, violence prevention, conflict resolution, social peer groups, parenting workshops, cultural/educational field trips, self-esteem building workshops, employment training, tutorial services and cultural diversity training.
