    Ever since her youth, Kelli Ramey, has known what it is like to live with mental illness. “I was almost expelled in kindergarten,” Ramey remembers. “I knew I was different, my parents and teachers knew I was different, but nobody could understand why.”  Read more about Ramey here.

  • Rev. Dr. Brenda Buckwell honored with the 2011 Barry Mastrine Award

    Rev. Dr. Brenda Buckwell, pastor at Westgate United Methodist Church, was honored with the 2011 Barry Mastrine Award at the ADAMH Annual meeting on Tuesday, December 6 at the Center for Workforce Development at Columbus State Community College.

THE 2012 JEFFERSON AWARDS

Central Ohio is home to some special people.  These are the people who care about their neighbors and about people they may never meet.  They're the people who go above and beyond to make their communities better.  The Jefferson Awards recognize those super-volunteers who improve the quality of life in Central Ohio.  If you know someone who provides outstanding volunteer service that makes Central Ohio a better place to live, nominate him or her for a 2012 Jefferson Award.
