Program Overview
Behavioral healthcare facility, with a specialization in addiction recovery care, to help men, women, and adolescents restore their lives from addictive and mental illness. Continuum of care includes inpatient, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. Intensive mental health treatment services, including psychological and psychiatric evaluations and counseling services to adults and adolescents in both individual and group settings, are also provided.
Public Health Programs
Adult Residential Programs
• Detoxification – sub-acute program for adult men and women who need medical help to safely detoxify; medical and counseling staff provided.
• Dan Cannon Hall – variable length of stay for adult men and women.
• Women’s Center – extended care (up to 6 months) for women and their young children, including an Africentric Program, at our suburban campus.
• Engagement Center for homeless publicly inebriated men and women.
• Commons at Chantry – housing services for previously homeless adults and families.
Adult Outpatient Programs
• Aftercare and Outpatient – weekly counseling that includes individual and group sessions.
• African American and Appalachian Male – intensive weekly sessions for adult men.
• Safe Pathways – intensive program for women.
• Older Adult Wellness – mental health and support services for adults age 60+.
• Stable Cradle – prenatal, postpartum, and addiction recovery services for women.
• Relapse Prevention Program
• Medication assisted treatment – for persons addicted to heroin or other opiates.
• Family Services – for patients’ loved ones to assist them in their own recovery and build a stronger family unit.
Adolescent Programs
• Girls’ Adolescent Care Unit – ages 13-18
• Boys’ Teen Care Unit – ages 13-18
• Aftercare and Outpatient – weekly counseling that includes individual and group sessions.
The Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach and Assertive Continuing Care (ACRA/ACC) Program provides services to teens and their families after a residential treatment stay.
The Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy for Adolescent Substance Abuse and Delinquency (MDFT) Program provides family-centered programming for adolescents who abuse alcohol and drugs and exhibit delinquent behavior.

Maryhaven supports our community with specific education and prevention programs connected to adult and juvenile court systems.
MESA (Maryhaven Exploring Sober Alternatives)Program
• Adult age 18+ driver intervention 72-hour program for OVI offenses.
• Spanish programs held regularly.
Prevention and Education Programs for Under Age 21
• Underage Drinkers Program (UDP) – for youth ages 18-20 who have been arrested for underage drinking.
• Juvenile Underage Drinkers Program (JUDP) – for youth ages 12-17, and their parents.
• Maryhaven Young Drivers Intervention (MYDI) – for youth ages 12-17 with OVI offenses.
