The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) matches lay persons willing to become court-appointed guardians to vulnerable people 18 years of age or older with mental disabilities. Program serves those who have no family or assets and are unable to give informed consent or make decisions in their own best interests. Volunteers are recruited, screened, trained, matched and supported by the program.
