Serves low-income/homeless women age 18 and older who may or may not be pregnant or have dependent children with them. Women must need alcohol and other drug treatment and housing. Amethyst provides long-term, community residential alcohol and drug treatment services including transitional and permanent supportive housing, intensive and continuing outpatient substance abuse treatment, integrated intensive case management; trauma counseling for physical, emotional and sexual abuse; family counseling; parenting education; career guidance and employment services; independent living skills and programming for children living with their mothers at Amethyst. All services are encompassed within a continuum of care ranging from entry level through aftercare, during which clients move through progressive levels of recovery and independence.

Women's Outreach for Women (WOW) is a drop-in center for women affected by substance abuse problems, compulsive behaviors and other abuse or dependency-related issues. They provide a variety of prevention programming and peer-support opportunities at the drop-in center. Outreach services are also available in the Columbus area through WOW.
