Using an abstinence-based, comprehensive 12-step recovery program, we at Cornerstone of Recovery treat the disease of drug/alcohol addiction from the inside out, as our multi-disciplinary professionals attend to the physical, emotional/psychological, interpersonal, behavioral and spiritual needs of all our clients. Cornerstone employs independently licensed chemical dependency and mental health clinicians and offers genuine dual-diagnosis assessment and treatment. In addition to the individuals substance abuse, we assess for and address the presence or potential for other cross addictions, such as gambling and sexual addiction. Taking treatment to another level, we also provide each client’s family/loved ones the support, help, and tools they need for their own recovery process. We pride ourselves on working closely with our client’s EAP, healthcare providers, and/or outside mental health treatment providers.
Cornerstone operates facilities in Dublin, OH and at its headquarters in Louisville, TN. The Dublin office opened in November of 2008. In this short time, we have grown to include Intensive-Outpatient, Assessment, Aftercare, Outpatient, Support Living, Family Therapy, and now Chemical Dependency Training. In addition to our experience in working with individuals and families, we are approved to treat physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, and other healthcare providers. Our Support Living program is a unique program that offers a stable and supportive living situation for those in our Intensive-Outpatient and Aftercare programs who need it so that they can become established in recovery and set their life on a new track.
Cornerstone of Recovery in Tennessee offers a Medical Detox Program, Adult Residential Program, Young Adult Residential Program (age 17-25), Relapse Recovery Program, Intensive-Outpatient Program, Outpatient Program, Aftercare Program, and Support Living Program. They also offer special programs for impaired practitioners (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) and airline employees.

January 14th: Ethics in Counseling
Designed to meet the Ethics requirement for Chemical Dependency Professionals and other Mental Health Fields. It will give the participant an overview of the "Code of Ethics" and will give case study examples to practice recognition of the different code violations
February 11th: Clinical Supervision
Designed to cover the principles of providing effective clinical supervision. The roles of the supervisor and models of supervision will be explored.
March 11th: Treating the Family of the Alcoholic or Addict
Designed to teach the participant the latest techniques when helping the alcoholic/addict’s family. Practical examples and interventions will be reviewed.

Cornerstone of Recovery is an approved provider for CEU’s for Counselors and Social Workers by the CSWMFT Board (Provider #RCS110903) . These programs are also approved for RCH’s by the Ohio Credentialing Board for Chemical Dependency Counselors. 3 CEUs/RCHs are given for each session.
About the Presenter
Jennifer H. Haywood, LISW, LICDC, received her MSW in 1996 from OSU, and her CCDC III in 1997. She has specialized in addictions and dual diagnosis assessment and treatment since 1996. She has had a variety of work experiences in the field, and has been a trainer and presenter since 1998, and an adjunct professor at OSU in the MSW program and at Columbus State in the Mental Health/Chemical Dependency/Mental Retardation program for 6 years. Her specialties also include DSM-IV-TR trainings, Drug Free Workplace Trainings, and several other mental health and human behavior theory courses at OSU. She has been an evaluator for the CPM oral exam for the state of Ohio since 1998 and continues to see clients in an individual therapy setting as well as conducting assessments with mental health clients and dually diagnosed clients with Matrix Integrated Psychological Services.

The Addiction Sciences Division of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine invites you
and your colleagues to attend the “First Annual UC Health Addiction Update” on Friday, March 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
This one-day event, underwritten by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, will be held at the University of Cincinnati Reading
Campus (formerly known as the UC Genome Research Institute). Presenters include nationally and internationally recognized experts
in the area of alcohol and other substance use disorder treatment, including both pharmacotherapy and behavioral therapy approaches.

The goals of the event include (1) to provide high quality teaching and high impact course content to practicing counselors,
social workers, psychologists, addiction therapists, and other professionals seeking continuing education credits and (2) to offer

encourage interaction among attendees, we would like to invite participants to present posters during the lunch hour to showcase their
