ADAMH, the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County, recently welcomed Derek Anderson to its volunteer Board of Trustees. Anderson was appointed by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners to a term ending June 30, 2010.
Anderson currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Real Estate and Land Management and Chief of the Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention for the State of Ohio. Anderson graduated with an undergraduate degree from the Marshall University, where his focus was Communication Studies and Health Care Management. Anderson also received a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Shorter College and a Doctorate from Jackson Theological Seminary

ADAMH’s volunteer Board of Trustees is comprised of community leaders and consumers that provide leadership and direction in forming policy and allocating funds for mental health and alcohol and other drug services in Franklin County.
ADAMH is Franklin County’s authority for planning, funding and evaluating mental health, alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment services. ADAMH-funded services are provided by a local network of more than 40 not-for-profit providers and are offered on a sliding-fee scale, making them affordable for any County resident, regardless of income.
