The ADAMH Board funds, evaluates and plans the necessary mental health and alcohol and drug treatment service for Franklin County residents and  then purchases care from community experts. ADAMH does NOT provide any direct service; rather it maintains a "safety net" of more than 40 contract providers, located in neighborhoods throughout Franklin County. ADAMH receives approximately half its funding through a voter-approved property tax and the remainder from a combination of federal, state and private sources. It is the largest combined alcohol/drug and mental health board in Ohio with an annual investment of $137 million in the community.
