Tamara Davis

Tamara DavisTamara Davis, Ph.D., M.S.S.W., was appointed to the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board (ADAMH) by the Ohio Department of Mental Health. Her appointment runs through June 30, 2015. Davis currently works as an Associate Professor in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Counseling & Guidance and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She received her doctorate in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.  Davis serves as a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Diversity in Social Work and as a member of the Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence Research Advisory Committee. She also serves as a consultant to the Cultural Competence Task Force at the Institute for Human Services in Columbus.
