Mitzi Kirkbride

Mitzi Kirkbride was appointed to the ADAMH Board of Trustees by the Ohio Department of Mental Health. Her appointment runs through June 30, 2015. Kirkbride came to the ADAMH Board from California where she served as Director of Puppy Raising at Guide Dogs for the Blind. Prior to that, Kirkbride was the executive director of Support Dogs Inc. in Columbus and St. Louis. She is a member of the ADAMH Consumer and Family Advisory Council and is active in various organizations including Assistance Dogs International, where she served as Vice President of the Board of Directors, and the National Committee for the Establishment of Guidelines for Animal Assisted Activities, where she assisted with the development of the original guidelines for animal assisted activities.
