Kathleen Pajer, M.D., M.P.H. was appointed to the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH) by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. Her appointment runs through June 30, 2013. Dr. Pajer is a certified psychiatrist who received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Connecticut. She has previously worked as an Associate Professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine and at the Allegeny University of Health Sciences. Dr. Pajer has extensive experience in writing curricula and teaching courses. In 2002, she received the Resident Teaching Award for her work at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA. She has also done a significant amount of clinical teachings to residents, in addition to psychotherapy supervision. Dr. Pajer has researched and experienced treating adolescent girls who have substance abuse disorders and problem behaviors.
